If the settings are correct, you can simply click Next to continue. 3. Test the Internet connection and update the system with the YaST online update service. 4. Select whether your PC is a standalone machine or a network client. If you select network client, you have to select one of two network authentication methods NIS (Network Information System) or LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol). Typically, most PCs are standalone systems. (This simply means that the user accounts are authenticated on the PC and not by checking with another server on the network.) 5. For a standalone system, add a new local user by entering the username, password, and other settings. Click Next to continue.
